The first voyage was not just sent to planet Omega to inhabit another planet. They were sent with a mission to combine humans and artificial intelligence. The planet Omega was the one planet scientists and astronomers found that contained the element luxonium. A rock type metaloid that when mixed with artificial intelligence technology and implanted into humans, is capable of altering one's mind, making them more intelligent.
The blackwells were scientists devoted to expanding the human mind. The Blackwells had synthesized the technology after finding the luxonium on the planet Omega. After making their discovery, there was backlash from the others on the first voyage.
The planet Omega also contained certain natural plants, that when mixed with a heat of 100 degrees fahrenheit and inhaled could be produce serious hallucinations. However if applied to any heat over 110 degrees fahrenheit, it could warp the human mind, making them incredibly irritable, impulsive, and angry. The blackwells found a way to harness the plants and use them against people. They would use the plants to get their own way. Eventually, the Blackwells had used the plants against their fellow first voyage compatriots.
The technology synthezised by the Blackwells alowed peoples minds to live on after death. They had found a way to basically live forever. The way the Blackwells would do it is the technology they synthezed. They would implant into the arm, and the luxoium, mixed with A.I. would mesh with the human mind and allow them to use their entire brain. unlocking a new state of human consciounceness. With the technology they synthesized, and the hallucinogenic plants they had discovered, the Blackwells quickly took over their new city of Aroura.
